Frequently Asked Questions about Total Cricket Scorer©
What is a Registration ID?
A Registration ID is a unique identifier for your computer.  This is required to obtain a licence key as a Total Cricket Scorer licence is linked to an individual PC.  The ID is 12 or 13 characters long.
Where can I find my Registration ID?
The Registration ID can be found in several places.  The simplest way to find it is to look at the 'About Box'.  You can launch this by either pressing the question mark in the top right hard corner of TCS or by going to the Help menu and pressing 'About TCS'.

The ID can also be seen when you run an unregistered version of TCS on the 'Demonstration Mode' box that appears on starting TCS.  It can also be seen on the 'Activate Application' box when going to register the application as well at the 'Get Key' box when requesting a key.
How do I transfer a database from one machine to another?
The simplest way to transfer a database to a new machine is to use a memory stick. To do this:
  1. Run TCS on the old machine
  2. Go to the Data menu and select 'Copy the database'
  3. Select the memory stick location to save the database
  4. When saved remove the memory stick and insert into the new machine
  5. Run TCS on the new machine
  6. Go to the Data menu and select 'Replace the database'
  7. Confirm you wish to replace the database
  8. Select the database from the memory stick
Why does my partnership report not show the coloured bars?
The lack of coloured bars printing is due to a setting in your web browser, as the images are HTML and Windows uses your browser to render and print these. If you use Internet Explorer, please launch it and then click Tools Internet Options, change to the Advanced tab and scroll down to the Printing section, and put a tick in the 'Print background colours and images' option. Once you click OK, TCS should then print the bars on the partnership report. (You may like to deselect this option again afterwards if you print from web pages regularly) .

Note: There is a bug in Internet Explorer 8 ( http://support.microsoft.com/kb/974128) that ignores this setting.  Until Microsoft fix this you must use the Save As button on the Partnership report printing and save the html. Then open it and from the page setup select to 'Print Background Colors and Images'.
